Rougon is a small and very isolated village sitting on a plateau high above the upper Verdon Gorge. In a beautiful setting and with great views, Rougon is home to a large colony of vultures, nesting on the cliffs nearby. Rougon is most interesting for its setting in the hills above the Gorges de Verdon, for the resident vulture colony, the wonderful views, and the hiking. The village isn't big enough to have a maze of streets for wandering.A tiny village with a great view of the Verdon gorge, in a pretty setting, and famous for the resident vulture colony.
