Nachi Falls, Nachisan, Nachi-Katsuura Town, Higashimuro District (25 minutes by bus from Kiikatsuura station and 15 minutes from Nachi station. Get off at Takimae  at the foot of the falls or one stop later at Jinja-o-teramae  halfway to the mountain.). Being 133 meters tall the the water fall is one of the tallest in the country - First, second or third depending on the definition of a water fall. The Nachi mountain has also Kumano Nachi Taisha, Seiganto-ji Temple with a vermilion three-storied pagoda and Hiryu-jinja Shrine to visit within walking distance. Lower viewing deck from near of the foot of the water fall is 300 yen and upper viewing deck from inside of the pagoda is 200 yen, but you can get a nice view of the falls even without these options.

Nachikatsuura  is a town in Wakayama Prefecture.The town of Nachikatsuura has lost many of its citizens after Wakayama landslides. There are abandoned buildings in the area and for example some of the town's convenience stores and other businesses have died out. However, there are still many small enterprises left in the town for a tourist to enjoy. Most of the citizens are not used to seeing foreigners, but they are very friendly especially if you can speak some Japanese.
