The King George Twin Falls is the highest water fall in Australia 180 feet high with 180 feet of water beneath.The headwaters of the river rise to the west of the Ashton Range. It flows in a northerly direction through the Drysdale River National Park past the Seppelt Range, over a drop of 80 metres (262 ft) at King George Falls and then discharges into Koolama Bay and the Timor Sea.Beta Creek is the only tributary of the King George River.The river was named in 1911 by explorer Charles Conigrave after a privately funded expedition in the area. The river is named after King George V.
