The building Torres Blancas in Madrid ( Spain ) is located at the confluence of number 2 Heart of Mary Street with the number 37 of the Avenida de America . The project, signed by Francisco Javier Sáenz de Oíza as architect and engineering participation as Trojan Fernandez and Carlos Fernández Casado , is 1961 , and construction lasted from 1964 until 1968 . With this building, its first project internationally known Oíza Saenz, who lived the rest of his life in the building, won the European Excellence Award in 1974 . Torres Blancas was an experiment led by a client, John Huarte (owner of the construction company of the same name, Huarte), which is meant in the sixties of the twentieth century for its support of the Spanish vanguard, building some of the best buildings in Spain in the sixties and seventies.
